I wasn’t able to make a reservation for the Cat Ferry to Nova Scotia since the needed the height and length of both the truck and trailer to compute the charge. I was assured that it wouldn’t be full but still needed to be at the terminal by 7AM. It sure is nice to be able to break camp so easily with the Aliner. Up at 6AM and by 6:45, I’m at the terminal.

I suppose they load vehicles with trailers first because I was the first one to go on. I’ve ridden a lot of auto ferries and this is, without a doubt, the most impressive. Fast, smooth, quiet and with plenty of amenities for the 3 hour trip. It’s not cheap, but it’s a great way to start a trip to Nova Scotia.

After stopping at the Nova Scotia Visitor Center to pick up some literature, I made the short drive up to Parker’s Cove and Cove Oceanfront Camping. There were only a few sites taken so I chose one on the row closest to the bay. Set up camp and then hopped on the bike and took a short ride down the coast. Still being a bit sore from Tuesday, the rolling coastline provided some nice hills to work out the kinks.

Got back to the campground just in time to enjoy a beautiful Fundy sunset.
