Virginia State Parks Trail Quest
The Virginia State Parks have a challenge called Trail Quest that rewards you for visiting the 40 parks participating in the program. You simply log your visit at the website and then receive a pin for your 1st, 5th, 10th, 20th, and 40th park. My recent visit to Staunton River earned my 10 visit pin.

I spent my second weekend at Bear Creek Lake State Park – this time to participate in a Saturday morning conference in Lynchburg. About an hour from Cumberland County, it’s a nice drive to Lynchburg and, following the conference, I took the opportunity to drop by the Appomattox Court House NHS and bag another stamp.
