Cord-Cutting, a Pandemic, and lots of Binge Watching…

Having cut-the-cord late last year and switched to YouTube TV along with a handful of other streaming services, it’s no surprise that some binge-watching would result. Throw in a pandemic and 6 months of “lock down”, however, like most folks, the TV-time has bumped up significantly. I won’t say I’ve been completely glued to the TV but I certainly have run through a few shows that I probably would never have bothered with. For example, I’ve completed the following:

  • Baptiste (PBS Passport, 6 episodes)
  • Downton Abby (PBS Passport, 52 episodes)
  • Beecham House (PBS Passport, 6 episodes)
  • Firefly (Hulu, 14 episodes)
  • Vienna Blood (PBS Passport, 3 episodes)
  • Stargate: Atlantis (Hulu, 100 episodes)
  • Stargate: Universe (Hulu, 40 episodes)
  • The Handmaid’s Tale (Netflix, 36 episodes)
  • Snowpiercer (YouTube TV, 10 episodes)
  • Devs (YouTube TV, 8 episodes)
  • Mandalorian (Disney+, 8 episodes)
  • Star Trek: Discovery (CBS All Access, 29 episodes)
  • Star Trek: Picard (CBS All Access, 10 episodes)
  • The Purge (Hulu, 10 episodes)
  • Tales From the Loop (Amazon Prime, 8 episodes)

And currently ticking away at these:

  • Star Trek: Lower Decks (CBS All Access, 3 of 10)
  • Van Der Valk (PBS Passport, 2 of 3)
  • Grantchester (PBS Passport, 21 of 31)
  • Stargate: SG-1 (Amazon Prime, Season 6 of 10, 214 episodes)
  • The Orville (Hulu, 10 of 26)
  • NOS4A2 (Hulu, 3 of 20)
  • The Man in the High Castle (Amazon Prime, 27 of 40)
