Cycling Dynamics for Assioma Power Meter Pedals Released, New Pedal Bodies Too

Yes, the long and oft talked about day is finally here – Favero has pushed out a firmware update enabling Cycling Dynamics on their popular Assioma power meter pedals. It’s been a multi-year journey that first started in Garmin’s camp, then the ANT+ camp, and then ultimately culminating in the Favero camp.

This is the second major firmware update for the Favero Assioma pedals since I’ve owned them (the first being focused on improved accuracy). Now they’ve added 2 of the 3 metrics of the ANT+ power meter standard that involve “cycling dynamics”: Power Phase which details where in the stroke your power is being applied and Rider Position (time spent seated versus standing).

As usual, the most complete description of this update can be found over at DC Rainmaker.
