Very good article. Can’t say I disagree with any of the five points. Number five is especially spot-on.

My only additional input would be that at some point in your life, remaining injury-free has to become a primary focus as well. Injuries simply become tougher to recover from and keeping regular (point number 2) becomes that much more difficult when you’re out for an extended time recovering from an injury.

It just seems that the older we get, the harder it becomes to come back from an extended layoff. Eventually, we don’t even try. Don’t let it get to that point.  As Tom Petty said:

Well, I don’t know, but I’ve been told
You never slow down, you never grow old

At some point, you may have to slow down a bit.  Just don’t come to a complete stop!
