• Hiking Upward – A group of avid hikers who enjoy the wonderful forests and parks in the mid-Atlantic states.
• Backpacker Magazine – The Twitter home of BACKPACKER Magazine, BACKPACKER.com, and their blogs (www.backpacker.com/blogs/)
• The Adventure Life – The blog for real outdoor adventure–news, gear, people, photography, outdoor iPhone apps, more—by National Geographic ADVENTURE’s West Coast editor.  Although the magazine has folded, hopefully the online presence will continue.
  
• The Gear Junkie – Regarded as a top blog and online publication for product reviews and news in the outdoors world.
• Wetass – Sports, adventure, humor, mostly wet.
• Backcountry.com – High end gear for hard core outdoor enthusiasts
• Outside Magazine – The magazine for the active lifestyle.
